Bethesda recently released an excellent unofficial mod for the Doom re-release.
Bethesda has announced the release of the base Ganymede mod for the original Doom, allowing fans to experience 27 new areas.
Base Ganymede follows the spirit of the original game, but takes players to the surface of Jupiter’s largest moon. Behind the campaign is Adam “Khorus” Woodmansey, who originally created the mod in 2009.
The mod can be downloaded directly from the menu of the updated Doom. Older Doom owners can experience it for themselves by downloading it from the moddub.
