The Fallout series, which is set in a post-nuclear war world known for its vaults scattered across the continent, whose true purpose has now been revealed.
The creator of the game series, Tim Cain, published a video on his YouTube channel, in which he explained that the vaults were intended to be a scientific experiment to solve how humans would survive interstellar travel. The idea was born shortly after the original Fallout.
Fallout’s Vaults are remembered above all for their unfortunate and sometimes intentional crashes, but now Cain has revealed they were all part of the research. Interstellar travel would mean traveling between generations, so the problems of obtaining water and food would have to be solved for travel lasting hundreds of years.
