Carignan’s Cha Cha Cha became the most-heard song on the German viral list on Spotify, but Finland still got a zero from the country’s professional council.
Finnish Eurovision hero Karija’s song Cha Cha Cha has become the most heard song on the German Spotify viral list.
It is very rare that a song sung in Finnish is the most listened to in a foreign country. The situation is even more special because the German professional jury did not give Karija a point in the Eurovision final last Saturday.
Instead, Suomaalistahti received a full 12-point pot from the German audience.
A German fan shared on Twitter a screenshot of Germany’s Spotify Top 50 list, where Karizza is in the top spot.
– Absolutely! he wrote in the caption.
Some German Eurovision viewers updated their feelings about the final result on Twitter.
Too bad, Finland. I wish you win Lorraine is fine too, one lamented.
– I’ll listen to both of them out loud tomorrow, but Karija a little louder!
– Lorraine won the Eurovision Song Contest, but the heart of the whole evening was Järre Pohonen aka Karija, who was admired by another German.
Suomen’s Karija propaganda also evokes a positive response among Germans. One user shared pictures of stone pelters and Oulu Bazar police wearing green boleros, for example.
– I really celebrate how the whole of Finland celebrates Karija and Cha Cha Cha! he wrote along with the photo.
