The Whale, which won Brendan Fraser a Best Actor Oscar, premiered in Finland in March. From June you can watch movies at home.
Whale will be released as a digital retail edition on June 12. It is not yet known whether the digital rental version will be available at the same time or will be held until the end of June.
The Whale has so far gathered more than 35,000 spectators in Finnish cinemas.
Based on the play by Samuel D. Hunter, The Whale is the poignant story of an English teacher trying to reconcile her estranged teenage daughter. The film was directed by Darren Aronofsky, known for Soul Fare of Dreams, Black Swan and The Wrestler.
