Teuvo Terävainen is already fit to play.

Teuvo Terveinen of the Carolina Hurricanes is quickly in position to play.

– It feels great, Tervainen said Monday after training normally with Carolina without the no-contact shirt.

– I’m pretty much ready to play as soon as my coach puts me on the ice.

The speedy lefty broke his hand after being booed by Jean-Gabriel Pageau in the second game of the opening round of the playoffs.

The return is surprisingly quick. The Finnish striker already had time to think that the season was over.

– It’s crazy. The doctors did a great job.

Teravanen did not get the power marking in his two playoff games.

He totaled 37 (12+25) points in 68 regular season games. On top of all that, Tervainen’s point production oozed with excellence.

Teravanen is one of five Finns from Carolina. The others are Sebastian Aho, Jesperi Kotkaniemi, Antti Ranta and Jesse Puljujärvi.
