At least 29 people have died in the devastation caused by Cyclone Mocha in Myanmar. According to information received from various sources on Monday. On Sunday, Mocha crossed the south-eastern parts of Myanmar and Bangladesh and made a storm surge over the western parts of Myanmar.

About 900 homes and 14 hospitals across the country have been damaged in the storm, according to the military junta that rules the country.

The church’s foreign aid said on Monday it had already allocated 100,000 euros from its disaster fund on Sunday for emergency relief work caused by the storm. KUA has its own country office in Myanmar.

The emergency calls for immediate humanitarian assistance to meet the food and shelter needs of these people and to restore infrastructure, said Henry Braun, country director of the Church’s foreign aid in Myanmar, in the organization’s press release.
