A 13-year-old boy is suspected of taking his father’s gun and killing nine of his classmates and a security guard at a Belgrade school less than two weeks ago.
The girl who was seriously injured in the school shooting has died in Belgrade, Serbia, state television reported Monday. Thus the girl became the tenth victim of the mass shooting.
Serbian media reported that the girl suffered serious head injuries from the bullet and ultimately doctors could not save her life despite surgery. The age of the girl was not disclosed.

Just a day after the school shooting, Serbia was rocked by another mass killing, when a 21-year-old man is suspected of shooting eight people in a village on the outskirts of Belgrade.
Along with Montenegro, Serbia has the relatively highest number of weapons owned by civilians in all of Europe. According to a report published in 2018 by the Small Arms Survey Research Project, there were slightly more than 39 firearms per hundred people in Serbia. Finland’s number was higher at 32.
