King Harald of Norway was being treated for an inflammatory disease.

Norway’s 86-year-old King Harald has been released from hospital where he had been treated for a week for an infection. Howie said Monday, however, that he is currently on sick leave.

According to the court, it will be decided on Tuesday whether the king is fit to take part in Norway’s National Day celebrations on Wednesday.

King Harald was also admitted to the hospital in December last year due to infection. At that point, he was treated with intravenous antibiotics. A few years ago, he was admitted to the hospital due to dizziness.

Although the aging king has recently had to use crutches, he hasn’t cut down much on his duties. Harald has been the ruler of Norway for 32 years.
