Finland bowed out badly in the shootout.
The Swedish players were all smiles as Finland fell 2-1 on the ice of the World Cup after the winning shootout.
Trey Kroener’s hero was Lucas Raymond, who twice passed Emile Larme and sealed Sweden’s victory with his second breakthrough.
Aftonbladet interviewed the Swedish players after the win, and there was much talk in the direction of Laramie.
Enjoyed watching the shootout. We sat on the bench and laughed after each goal, with star defender Rasmus Sandin commenting on Raymond’s goals.
– It seemed really easy. Even so easily that I could score runs on that too.
Voito knew that Sweden had never lost to Finland when a World Cup match was played in Finland.
– it feels great. It’s always great to win in Finland, and especially in Finland. It’s wonderful to have a look at them,’ Sandin said with a smile.
