The first film produced by Gene Simmons will be Deep Water directed by Renny Harlin.
Gene Simmons, best known for the band Kiss, has teamed up with Gary Hamilton to form his own production company called Simmons/Hamilton Prods, Variety reports. Focusing on genre films, action and thrillers, the company plans to produce 25 films over the next five years.
The first Simmons/Hamilton Prods film is the shark flick Deep Water, directed by Renny Harlin, which is set to begin shooting later this year.
Deep Water is about a plane on its way from Los Angeles to Shanghai, which has to make an emergency landing in shark-infested waters. The passengers must work together to avoid the sinking of the plane and of course avoid the teeth of the sharks circling around.
The cast or release schedule of Deep Water is not known yet.
