The open world of the latest The Legend of Zelda games will continue to feature in future games in the series.
Eiji Aonuma, creator of The Legend of Zelda game series, has revealed the future of the open-world series with the latest games Breath of the Wild and Terras of the Kingdom.
Aonuma said in an interview with Game Informer that, like the 3D format of Ocarina of Time, the current open world and freedom introduced in Breast of the Wild will probably be the new format of the game series from now on.
The latest installments of the game series have been extremely free in terms of player progression, and Tears of the Kingdom’s building mechanics in particular have unleashed players’ creativity. This has been seen in the many peculiar builds with which players have circumvented or solved the problems presented by the game.
