The 86-year-old Herald was released from hospital on Monday, where he had been treated for the infection for a week.
Norway’s King Harald, 86, will return to his official duties on Wednesday, when Norway celebrates its national day. On Monday, Herald walked out of the hospital, where he was undergoing treatment for the infection for a week.
Maharaj Raja has been found healthy. Howie said that he could be seen on the balcony of the palace, waving the hand of a parade of children. Children’s parades are traditionally part of the National Day celebrations.
King Harald was also admitted to the hospital in December last year due to infection. At that point, he was treated with intravenous antibiotics. A few years ago, he was admitted to the hospital due to dizziness.
Although the aging king has recently had to use crutches, he hasn’t cut down much on his duties. Harald has been the ruler of Norway for 32 years.
