At least five people have died and one is missing in floods in northern Italy, reports Italian news agency Ansa. About five thousand people have been evacuated from the area.
A total of 14 rivers have flooded in the Emilia-Romagna region. Due to the flood, people have gone on the roofs of the houses.
Officials have warned that the worst is yet to come.
– The rain is not over yet, it will continue for hours, Titti Postiglione, deputy director of local rescue operations, commented on the SkyTG24 channel, according to Reuters.

Ravenna, located on the coast of the Adriatic Sea, has also been affected by the floods.

During the night, 5,000 people had to leave their homes.
