Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare’s chaotic little run map, Shipment, is one that shouldn’t have been in the game at all. Call of Duty multiplayer designer Geoff Smith told Dexerto about it.
“A bit of a happy experiment. Things that work, things that don’t work for whatever reason. I guess the bane of my existence is shipment.”
Shipment was supposed to be a split-screen map when split-screen gaming was still a big deal. The map crept into play and when it was noticed, it was too late.
“Our MP forgot to lead when we went live [pull] It was out and not going back. It really was an accident.”
