Finnkino featured Peter Jackson’s 2001–2003 Lord of the Rings trilogy on its Classics channel in May. Competing cinema chain Biorex will follow suit in June.
Like Finnkino, BioRex shows extended 4K versions of The Knights of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King without subtitles in Finnish or Swedish.

BioRex has theaters in Helsinki, Hämeenlinna, Hyvinka, Kajaani, Pietarsaari, Porvoo, Rihimaki, Rovaniemi, Senjoki, Tornio and Vaasa. Screenings of The Lord of the Rings are held at all other theaters except Biorex Red in Kalasatmaa, Helsinki.
Peter Jackson’s fantasy classics can be viewed live on HBO Max and Prime Video, though only in the theatrical version.
