The end begins live, promises the marketing materials of the film Fast & Furious X. According to the plans, the film that can be seen on the big screen is the first of the trilogy to conclude the entire story, so perhaps two more sequels are on the way. Now it has to be seen whether Vin Diesel will still be ready to give up his film series.
Fast & Furious X is clearly the prelude to a larger whole. It ends on a cliffhanger, so it doesn’t stand as an independent film at all.
Hurzapat (The Fast and the Furious), directed by Rob Cohen and starring Vin Diesel and Paul Walker, told the story of car enthusiasts who organize illegal street races in the spirit of Point Break and the police who infiltrate them. It’s almost unfathomable that a drag movie released in 2001 spawned an entire film franchise that’s still going strong 22 years later – as one of the most successful film series of all time.
Twenty years later, we are a far cry from that homesick feeling. By now, the Fast and Furious movies have already had time to travel far beyond the streets of Los Angeles, jump from an airplane to a car, from one cliff and from one skyscraper to another, and even That got confused even in space. Except for the 2 Fast 2 Furious films, Diesel has been in all the films released so far, while Walker was left out of scenes in the seventh film as fate had decided.
The Fast and Furious franchise has seen both good and bad moments over the years. Released a few years back, Fast & Furious 9, directed by Justin Lin, went beyond ridiculousness in its silliness and is one of the low notes of an uneven series. On the other hand, the 2011 Fast and Furious 5 film directed by the same director is one of the highlights of the series.
And Fast & Furious 10 is also based on the events of the fifth film, where director’s duties have been taken over by Louis Leterrier (The Incredible Hulk, Clash of the Titans) after Lin had a feud with Diesel and the longest-running feud between the two. worked on time. The director of the film series decided to leave it alone.
In the tenth film, Diesel’s Dom Toretto and his “family” meet a character from the past. In the fifth film, set in Rio de Janeiro, Toretto and his associates defeat a drug lord played by Joaquim de Almeida and Reyes’ son, Dante, played by Jason Momoa, has been plotting revenge on Toretto for all these years. Are.
The film begins ten years earlier with one of the best scenes in F&F 5, but now also links Momoa to that scene as if pasted. Following this, plot twists turn the agent organization against Dom’s group and a race with a spinning bomb in Rome also adds to the tale of revenge.
After some pretty high-flying parts, Fast & Furious X is a small return to the franchise’s roots. The film now mainly dwells on the cars and the surface of the earth, and there’s also a little reminder of the racing. The action is still big and engaging, but it’s not made even bigger because it’s the way to do it in the sequel. However, I am very afraid that it is still coming in the next parts.
Dan Mezzo and Justin Lin’s screenplay now focuses instead on new gadgets and rockets on a subject that has been sidelined in film series throughout the ages, namely the family. Diesel’s Dom finds himself in a difficult position, as he is attacked with the only weapon he fears – the loss of his family. This twist somewhat grounds the story, which has escalated to unrestrained areas.
Momo’s Dante is a stereotype of an insane villain whose sole motive is revenge and suffering. However, the character’s mixed-up chaos is a welcome addition to a film series that has become formulaic.
The biggest problem with the film series is that nothing makes sense anymore. For a long time, Fast & Furious has been the kind of horror franchise that went on forever, where at the end no one actually dies, the bullets seem to matter to no one, the shield of pestilence protects every situation, and the antagonists eventually become members of the family”. Everything is somehow eerily mild, even if Diesel’s face in the mud tries to express otherwise.
The script of Fast & Furious X with its harsh and downright stupid dialogues is painful to watch at times. It’s almost unfathomable how quality actors can be made to feel like such wooden scoundrels. Nevertheless, the film is a small step towards something better after a lousy main part.
Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Jason Statham, John Cena, Scott Eastwood, Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron return in their familiar roles. In addition to Momoa, Brie Larson, Alan Richson, Daniela Melchior and Rita Moreno will appear as new faces.
Between the end credits, you can see an additional scene, which is definitely worth watching, as it sets the stage for the sequel. However, it’s only left as an extra scene, so you can safely leave the movie theater after that if you want.

“The first part of the final trilogy of the Fast and Furious film series is now a step up from the cheesy horror of the main part.”
