Russia Freezes Bank Accounts of Finnish Embassies – Haavisto Press Conference at 12:15 pm.

There are two Finnish missions in Russia.

Russia has frozen the accounts of embassies in Russia, the foreign ministry confirmed to Reuters and HS. Accounts have been frozen and cannot be used.

– The situation is serious and the matter is being investigated, Ministry of External Affairs will inform HS.

Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto (green) will hold a press conference on the matter at 12:15. IS will broadcast the press conference live.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Ministry of Communications also says that Finland is in contact with Russian authorities regarding the matter.

There are two Finnish embassies in Russia, an embassy in Moscow and a Consulate General in St. Petersburg. The freezing of accounts applies to both representative offices.
