Sega has announced that it is considering raising the prices of its games.
In a meeting for its investors, Sega CEO Haruki Satomi and CFO Koichi Fukazawa revealed that they are considering raising the prices of the company’s own games.
The publisher has not yet made a final decision regarding the price increase, but the duo said they will review the market situation and decide on a possible price increase on a game-by-game basis. A more specific price point was not mentioned, though executives did mention the $69.99 price point they used recently.
Sega will be one of the many publishers to raise the prices of their games in the current console generation. Among others, Sony, Take-Two, Activision Blizzard and Gearbox have raised the prices of their own games.
