Steam begins offering free trials to players.
The new function of the platform provides players with an opportunity to try out games before making a purchase decision. The new feature lets players try out the game for free for a limited time.
The first game available is a remake of EA’s horror adventure Dead Space. Dead Space is now available for free to all Steam users for an hour and a half.
However, this is only a trial available for a limited time. Dead Space is free to play until May 29th. Valve hasn’t confirmed whether it plans to offer trial versions on a larger scale in the future, but at least it seems to want to provide an opportunity for publishers to bring their games to players in new ways. .
