The Legend of Zelda: Tear of the Kingdom differs from its predecessor in many ways in terms of gameplay, but technically reused many parts from the previous Breath of the Wild. An example of this is the individual characters encountered in the game, ie NPC entities.
Running around Hyrule are people who resemble Nintendo’s Mii creatures. Modder Heimheroic revealed on Twitter that, like Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom also uses modified Mii characters to create so-called NPCs.
