Ubisoft has added hundreds of employees to the development of Assassin’s Creed games.
Ubisoft has several new games in store for Assassin’s Creed fans, promised for the fall of Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Now the company has said that it will invest significantly more resources in the development of the hit game series.
“As part of an increased strategic focus on the largest growth opportunities and progressive reallocation of resources, Ubisoft will increase the workforce working on the Assassin’s Creed series by 40 percent over the coming years,” the company announced yesterday. “
According to Kotaku, Ubisoft has confirmed that 2,000 employees are already working on Assassin’s Creed. The increase in resources will add another 800 employees.
There are currently at least six Assassin’s Creed projects in the works, so there’s a lot of work to be done. The next release in the series, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, is rumored to arrive in early August, but has recently been rumored to have been pushed back to October. Nothing has been announced officially.
