Game company Ubisoft is increasing its investment in the Assassin’s Creed game series.
The company’s CEO Yves Guillemot talked about Assassin’s Creed plans during Ubisoft’s earnings review. According to Guillemot, the company plans to significantly increase the number of game series developers in the near future.
According to Guillemot, the number of people working on the Assassin’s Creed game series is to be increased by 40 percent in the next few years. About 2,000 of the company’s 20,000 employees are said to be currently working on Assassin’s Creed. According to Guillemot, the number of developers is going to increase by shifting resources away from other development, which means less investment in other games and game series.
The next Assassin’s Creed game is Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which is planned to be released during the current fiscal year. In addition to Mirage, Ubisoft has revealed that it is working on a total of five other Assassin’s Creed games.
