The rescue service was tasked with a burning building on Jotsenjerenti in Vitasari just after 2am on Thursday night.
Electricians from the power company, who were investigating a fault report, noticed a barn building of about 300 square meters in the yard of a family’s house. When the rescue service arrived, all that was left of the building was smoking ruins.
The barn building was used for storage, and there were no casualties in the fire.
The fire did not spread to the adjacent building and only a small area in the vicinity was burnt. The work of extinguishing the fire was completed in the morning.
The police is probing the cause of the fire.
