According to the police, the number of victims of the fire could increase further.

In New Zealand, police arrested a man on Thursday as a suspect in an arson attack at a hostel that caught fire earlier this week. At least six people died in the fire.

According to the police, the investigation is still on and more serious charges could be filed. The accused is to be produced in the court on Friday.

According to the police, the number of victims of the fire could increase further. The fire department has not been able to check the entire building as its roof has partially collapsed.

In addition, many of the hostel occupants were shift workers, making it difficult to trace where people were at the time of the fire.

Over 50 people were rescued from the four-storey hostel. Some crawled out of the burning hostel amidst the smoke, others were rescued from the roof of the building.
