Barbie’s own movie is coming out in July and it stars a host of well-known actors. John Cena plays the role of Merman (“Merman”). He ended up in the movie by a happy accident. Margot Robbie, who will appear in the lead role, came along, and it surprisingly helped the matter.
“I haven’t worked with Margot before. We literally met each other randomly as friends. Was filming Fast X across the street from Barbie. And [she asked], ‘Why don’t you barbie?’ I said, ‘I’m trying!’ And Margot makes a lot of the decisions for him and I said, ‘Okay, I’ll do whatever you want.'”
“Asked me if I wanted to be a mermaid, and I said, ‘Yeah, definitely'”.
