The release of Grand Theft Auto VI may already be on the horizon.
The much-awaited crime game from Rockstar Games is yet to be given an official release date. However, a review of parent company Take-Two’s earnings indicates that Grand Theft Auto VI could be released as early as next year.
In its earnings review, Take-Two says it forecasts $8 billion in net reserves for its next fiscal year, which begins in April next year. This would be a huge increase over the levels in the recently concluded fiscal year, when Take-Two reached a record high of $5.3 billion.
Take-Two plans to leapfrog by releasing several game-changing titles that will set new standards in the gaming industry. Achieving such a huge increase required the release of the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI. However, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick did not comment on questions about GTA VI’s release during the company’s earnings review.
There is very little public information available about Grand Theft Auto VI. However, the game came to light last fall, when the game’s files and videos became public in a massive data leak.
