The Lego 2K Drive has caused gray hairs for those who pre-ordered the game by messing up the game save.
The open-world driving game Lego 2K Drive, which will be released tomorrow Friday, looks very promising, but now we hear some worrying information from its first players. Pre-orderers have already gained access to the game as game publishers, and according to Video Game Chronicle, many have lost much progress on their game saves. This happened with the editor of VGC himself.
This is a bug related to the game’s cloud save. If the player is offline for a while and tries to reconnect, the game’s local save will not sync with the cloud save and all progress may be lost.
“We understand that some players have lost progress in LEGO 2K Drive on PlayStation 5,” commented publisher 2K Games. “We are investigating and will share updates as they become available.”
According to VGC, progress achieved in the game may also be lost, for example, because the game’s server connection is interrupted when the PS5 is in sleep mode. So it doesn’t take long to lose all the achievements of a long playing session. It looks like the issue only affects PS5 players.
LEGO 2K Drive will release tomorrow, May 19, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
