Finland’s first Eurovision Finnish-language song to feature in the top ten of the list.
According to the country’s official singles list, Finland’s Eurovision Song Contest 2023 is also extremely popular in the UK.
Karija’s Cha Cha Cha went straight to the top of the singles chart on Friday at number six. The ranking is the best ever for a Finnish-language song, and also Cha Cha Cha is the first Finnish-language song to reach the top ten of the British charts.
With its ranking, it surpasses, for example, Lorde’s 2006 victory song Hard Rock Hallelujah, which ranked 25th.
Other top five hits have also been included in the list. Lauren’s winning song Tattoo is in second place, while British representative Mae Muller’s I Wrote a Song is ninth. Completing the top 10 is Norway’s Queen Alessandra Queen of Kings at number 10.
This time, however, there was no number one among the wise men: the top spot went to DJ Calvin Harris and singer Ellie Goulding’s song Miracle.

The position on the British charts is historic, but it’s not even Karija’s first record this week.
This week, Suomen’s five-piece became the most-streamed Finnish song in Spotify history. Cha Cha Cha had been listened to more than 36 million times on the streaming service on Thursday, with already nearly 40 million repeats on Friday.
Helsingin Sanomat reported on Wednesday that the previous record was held by JVG’s Ikuinen vappu from 2020. It has been listened to over 31 million times.
