Developer NetherRealm has revealed the next installment in the popular fighting game series Mortal Kombat, and it’s back in time. You can watch the trailer for Mortal Kombat 1 below.
The video features many familiar characters such as Shang Tsung, Liu Kang, Raiden, Scorpion, Kitana, Mileena and Sub-Zero. However, the characters look a bit different from what you’re already used to.
The developer promises a completely renewed universe, battle system, game modes and iconic finishing moves. There will also be cameo roles, such as John Cena, played by Jean-Claude Van Damme.
Mortal Kombat 1 will be released on September 19 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, as well as Nintendo Switch consoles and PC.
