One person has been temporarily detained.
Police in southwestern Finland are investigating Thursday’s indecent behavior at the Russian consulate in Turku.
Police said in a press release that they received a report of disruptive behavior at the Russian consulate in Turku on Thursday afternoon.
The form of disruptive behavior is not specified in much detail. Police are currently investigating the incident as a breach of the public peace. It is being told that a person has been temporarily detained.
The police remind us that under the Vienna Convention, the police have an obligation to look after the security of diplomatic missions.
The consulate’s property in Turku had been damaged by vandalism earlier, among other things.
