Six people were rescued from a burning house in Sipu

Later the work of extinguishing is going on.

A two-storey wooden house was completely gutted in a fire at Huhkajankuja in Sipu on Friday morning.

A person in the building saw the fire and notified the emergency center. Six people have been rescued from the building. There has been no casualty in the fire.

Itä-Uusimaa rescue service and police are investigating the cause of the fire, which is still unclear.

The rescue service estimates that operations will continue at the fire site until around 12 noon, after which it will switch to a patrol phase.

About 10 units of the rescue service are still at the scene. The Eastern Uusimaa Rescue Service was supported in the work by the Helsinki and Central Uusimaa Rescue Services.
