Memories are precious, and old games are often remembered as being more beautiful than they are now. Only a side-by-side comparison really shows what huge leaps have been made in game graphics over the decades.
A recent video from GameRanx puts many of the new games side by side with previous versions or their best points of comparison. The video shows new and old versions of, for example, Resident Evil 4, Dead Space and Gran Turismo side-by-side. Also, for example, the recently released Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is paired with Star Wars: Jedi Knight 2, which was released 20 years ago.
The comparison points are from about twenty years ago, which illustrates the changes in game graphics very well. You can watch the video below.
