The Finnish Cities Skylines DLC sold with the Ultimate Edition has been delayed so that developer Colossal Order can prioritize performance improvements and bug fixes.
The PC version of the game was released last month with various issues, while the console version was delayed until spring 2024.
On Monday, Colossal Order announced that its Expansion Pass DLC has been delayed so that the studio can continue improving the base game.
– Once the PC version is where we want it to be, we’ll focus on the console release and DLC content. CEO Marina Hallikainen said, we are committed to bringing you the marketed DLC content, but it will not be released in the originally advertised schedule.
– The first asset pack, Beach Properties, has been worked on by our artists and outsourcing partners, but we will deploy them only when the improvements and demonstration work is completed to our satisfaction. Sorry for the delay, but we can’t rush into releasing new content until the groundwork is in place. This also applies to content creator packs and radio stations. Stay tuned for more details on these later, Hallikainen says.
Asset packs (Waterfront Properties) planned for release earlier this year will now release in Q1 2024, while Creator Packs (Modern Architecture and Urban Promenades), originally targeted for early 2024, will now release. Will come in the second quarter. Next year.
